As a Glebe Barn Devon wedding photographer, I had the absolute pleasure of documenting Carmen and Chris’s Valentine’s Day celebration at this stunning rustic barn venue near Holsworthy, North Devon. Glebe Barn sits in the heart of the North Devon countryside near Holsworthy, and it’s one of those venues that immediately puts you at ease the moment you arrive. The main barn space — with its soaring exposed oak beams, warm stone walls and wildflower meadow beyond — creates a naturally beautiful setting that works in any light. Carmen and Chris’s Valentine’s Day timing gave us some truly magical winter afternoon light to work with as the day unfolded, and every corner of this stunning Devon wedding venue delivered.

The morning preparations set the tone perfectly. Carmen got ready with her closest friends at the barn, and the relaxed, laughter-filled atmosphere was exactly what you hope for from a winter wedding morning. As a Glebe Barn Devon wedding photographer, one of the things we always love about this venue is how naturally everything flows — the spaces feel intimate without being cramped, and there’s always somewhere beautiful to photograph whatever the weather.

The ceremony itself was everything a Valentine’s Day wedding should be — warm, intimate and deeply personal. Carmen and Chris had clearly put thought into making it feel completely like them, and the genuine emotion in the room as they exchanged vows was palpable. After the ceremony we headed out into the wildflower meadow for couple portraits. Even in February, the countryside views from Glebe Barn are stunning — rolling North Devon farmland stretching out in every direction, warm golden light and two people completely at ease with each other. As the evening celebrations kicked off, the fairy lights, the laughter and the dancing made for the perfect end to a perfect Devon winter wedding.
