Georgina & Chris’s Rockbeare Manor wedding came with an entrance nobody expected. Rockbeare Manor, Devon, wedding photography — and this one came with an entrance to remember. Georgina and Chris tied the knot at this exceptional Devon country house just outside Exeter, and Chris arrived in the most Chris way possible: by helicopter, touching down on the grounds to gasps from the wedding party.

Rockbeare Manor itself is a Grade I listed Regency country house on more than 100 acres of Devon parkland, seven miles from Exeter — and because Georgina and Chris booked it exclusively, that helicopter landing had the whole grounds to itself. Their thirteen bedroom suites, the marble-pillared Dining Room with its 250-year-old plasterwork and chandelier, and the orangery-style Ballroom all got their moment through the day, but nothing quite matched that entrance for drama.

As the day wound down, Devon put on a show of its own — one of those rare, glowing sunsets that turned the parkland gold and gave us some of our favourite couple portraits of the year.
