Kira & Louis | Rockbeare Manor, Devon

Kira and Louis chose Rockbeare Manor for their wedding day, and the place didn’t disappoint. We’ve shot a fair few weddings at this exceptional Devon country house near Exeter now, and each one still finds new light to work with.

If you haven’t been to Rockbeare Manor, it’s worth knowing why so many Devon couples fall for it: a Grade I listed Regency house set in over 100 acres of parkland near Exeter, taken over completely for the day. Kira and Louis had exclusive use of the house and its thirteen bedroom suites, so there was no rushing anyone out. The Dining Room — all marble pillars, ornate plasterwork and a huge chandelier — made for some of our favourite formal shots, and the Ballroom’s big windows meant the evening light did most of the work for us.

The whole day had a lovely, unhurried feel to it — real moments between friends and family, and the house and gardens looking their absolute best.
