Lou + Andy | The Gate, Looe Wedding Photography, Cornwall

23rd August 2026

Yesterday Lou and Andy got married at The Gate, just outside Looe — an intimate venue with beautiful green spaces for an outside ceremony, gardens strung with swings for the kids, and about as good a backdrop as Cornwall offers for a wedding day.

What made the day, though, was the music. Lou and Andy’s whole family turned out to be properly musical — Lou even wrote her wedding speech as a song, performed on the day rather than read out, which set the musical tone early. The bride and groom, plus family and friends, put together their own set for the evening too. Big Fleetwood Mac fans, and it showed: it turned into less of a “first dance and DJ” evening and more of a proper family gig, everyone taking a turn, everyone singing along.

Lou and Andy — congratulations. Thank you for having us as your wedding photographer at The Gate for a day with sea views, good light, and a soundtrack the family built themselves.
