Louise and Amjad got married at Bovey Castle on Dartmoor with four guests. A proper micro wedding, and a good reminder that a small guest list doesn’t mean a small day.
The ceremony was held in the castle’s Library. With only four guests there’s no crowd to work around: everyone who matters is in every frame, the ceremony feels like a conversation rather than a performance, and there’s time afterwards to go and make some pictures.
That’s what we did. Bovey Castle sits on a big estate on the edge of the moor, with its own golf course, so after the ceremony we took a golf buggy out across the grounds for Louise and Amjad’s couple portraits. Dartmoor on the horizon, nobody else about, and easily the best way to get between photo spots we’ve had at a wedding.
Louise and Amjad, congratulations, and thanks for having us as your Bovey Castle wedding photographer.
Planning a micro wedding?
Small weddings don’t need a full-day package. Shorter bookings, from a ceremony and portraits to a few hours, are priced around your day. Whether it’s four guests at Bovey Castle or a registry office in Exeter, get in touch and we’ll work out what fits.
