Rachel and Alex got married at Rockbeare Manor this summer, and it was every bit as beautiful as the venue deserves. It’s another Rockbeare Manor wedding for us, and another reminder of why it’s one of our favourite Devon venues to shoot.
Rockbeare Manor is one of Devon’s most striking wedding venues — a Grade I listed Regency country house wrapped in over 100 acres of parkland, seven miles outside Exeter. Because it’s exclusive-use, Rachel and Alex had the whole place to themselves for the night, along with their guests across all thirteen bedroom suites. We spent a good part of the afternoon in the Adam-style Dining Room — nearly 250 years old, with hand-carved plasterwork and marble pillars under a huge crystal chandelier — before moving into the orangery-style Ballroom as the light softened over the grounds.
It was a relaxed, easy-going day from start to finish — plenty of laughter between the two families, and Rockbeare’s grounds looking their best in the sunshine.
Rachel and Alex — congratulations. Thank you for having us; it was a joy to be part of your day. Full gallery to follow soon.
